On Friday, February 1, 2013, the Virgin Islands Medical Institute, Inc., went ‘Red’ for women.

In recognition of the American Heart Association’s - National Go Red for Women’s Day, the staff at VIMI committed to wearing red.  The ladies took it up a notch and participated in an inter-office red shoe competition.

As the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for the U.S. Virgin Islands, VIMI is very aware of the issues that affect the health of women’s heart.  We will continue to spread the healthy heart messages of the Million Hearts Initiative throughout our community because we are committed to saving hearts!
